01 What we do
We build software for clients and for ourselves.
Most of it is for the property industry, because that is where the work came from and where we know the problems worth solving. The craft underneath is ordinary software engineering, and it travels.
Two strands. We take on development work for clients, under contract, from a written specification through to a running service. And we build and run our own product, RFPG, a property scanning app that turns a phone walkthrough into an itemised refurbishment estimate.
Building our own product is what keeps the client work honest. We carry the consequences of our own engineering decisions every day.
02 How we work
We test our software on real use before we call it finished.
We only tell you something works once we have seen it working, and anything still being built is clearly marked as unfinished.
We only publish figures we have measured
If a figure has not been measured, we do not print a figure. An empty space is honest; a confident guess is not.
We tell you when something has not been checked
If we could not check something, we say we could not check it, rather than quietly repeating what a document told us.
The founder
Rob Eley
I started work on a glass factory floor in South Wales. Since then I've driven HGVs, run a removals firm, built and sold an export business and built a property group.
Since 2024 I've led the build of seven platforms and sites at Reley Fast Software, six of them live, including RFPG and RFPN.NET. I direct AI coding agents to build at speed, and I check and sign off every release myself before it goes live.
What I enjoy most is taking an idea someone thinks is too big and making it real, then helping them market it and bring in the leads.
03 How we are set up
A small team, so you work directly with the developer.
You deal with whoever writes the code
One director, and a short list of people brought in for specific work. No account layer between you and the engineering.
You own what we build
For client work, who owns the code and who controls the data are settled in writing before anything starts.
